Did they ever put a 60e in an hd truck?

lol... well who knows what can happen... cause my buddy drives a 1999 CCLB 4x4 3500 with a wimpy lil 350 in it... and who knows what trans behind it... came like that from the factory, custom ordered.

yukons & taheo's both have 4.8's in some of them!

I know its not HD but didn't the early Escalades and Denalis come with 4L60Es?

They came with the 4l65e which is basically a 4l60e with 5 pinion planetaries. Slightly more beefy, but not much. The 4l65e also came in the vortec max's and SS trucks.

That truck has a 4L80-E and a 10.5" full-float 14-bolt rear end.

lol so thats why it has 160k miles on it and the tranny hasnt gone out yet... makes sense

but i have 160k on the stock 60e and im just waitin on it to go but no signs yet

Fact. All p/u trucks had allison, you might have been able to order one with a 80e but why?

The suburbans and avalanches came with 8.1L and 80e's, and i dont know if there was an option for the allison in these - I would think any combo would be possible though.
