Did the vette servo-also figured out clunk-I think
Went ahead and installed the vette servo today, I didnt think I'd see a difference in shifts cause my tune has it shifting pretty hard already, but man, that bish LUNGES into second. Very nice feel to it, awesome $19 bucks.'
I felt like I actually had a lot of room to work with, even with the exhaust still in there. For those of you who havent done this/dont know, heres about the only link I found helpful.

Also, I started to install the trans temp gauge, but ran out of time. Got the sender in the test port and that was about it. I removed the front driveshaft to get more access, and decided I'd just roll without it tomorrow since the caps were dry-I'll replace them this weekend. Before I removed the driveshaft, I grabbed it and twisted it a few times, major play in it. For those of you who havent heard, Ive been having a serious clunk when put in reverse. (I doubt the greasy slip yoke would fix this-its that bad).
I removed the bolts that held the driveshaft to the diff, and let it hang for a sec, then when I grabbed it I noticed that the play is in the transfer case, just like I had thought. The front wheels were off the ground and the diff spun freely, but the transfer case was still in gear, and thats where the play is.
I got in the truck just a minute ago to test out the servo, (without the front shaft in) and immediately noticed that I had no clunk whatsoever when put in nuetral. Gotta be the t-case.
What could cause this? Something like a loose or worn chain? Something broken? Far as I know 4x4 works fine......
At any rate, thanks for reading the novel. Saturday I'm dedicating my whole day to installing my white face gauges, clear needles, blue leds in every possible spot, and finishing my trans temp gauge. Gonna be sweet!

Yes, a vette servo as well as a shift kit makes a world of diff on these 60e's.
My 04 Z71 had a terrible "Clunk" also, drove me nutz.
I never repaired it but it was in the Tcase. Not sure what it was wether it be the chain or sumthing else.
