disapointed with 4.10 gears need help why
hey guys i have a 5.7 stepside i have all the bolt ons and a rebuilt 4l60e with performave rebuilt kit shift kit and servos and i juss installed a tru trac diff with richmond 4.10s and idk wats goin on but i got slower! i ran another truck that i had lost to in the past and he was barly beating me by a fender and now he pulled on me by 2 cars! even from a dig! he had the same stuff so idk wats goin on please help thanks!

i would say it probably depends on what speed yall are racing from. i didnt notice a difference on the street going from 3.42s to 4.10s but on the track i dropped ~3 tenths.

I agree. I had 3.42 then 4.10 then 3.23. The 3.42 definitely pulled very well on the highway but the 4.10s did much better from a stop.
BTW, to me, it was never a night and day difference between any of the gears. People on here exaggerate a lot...

Did you tune for the gears after installing them? If not your shift points will be way off. Edit: What year is this truck?

thats what i hear-i noticed a little difference from 3:42 to 4:10s but cant wait for the stall to go in to get their full potential
