Disc Brake Backing Plates

I was looking at disc brake backing plates online.. There's two kinds, a one piece, and two piece.. I got a 2000 Silverado, which mine are shot, they look like one pieces, but I've never actually had them off, and they're fitment guide says it's a two piece, I was wondering if someone could just verify it for me.. I'll be swaping the disc's and new backing plates onto a hybird 14 bolt soon, and I just want the right backing plates. Any info would be great, thanks..

If they are like mine and your are looking at them from the back they will look like 1-piece, but there is a square cast center section that fits into the other side of the shield. The shield attaches to it with a couple of bendable tabs. Couldn't find a pic of the cast piece, but you can see the square centre section in the drawing below.
