Default Ditched the Torsion Bars for Coilovers on the HD

Pretty sick in tired of the ride quality of the torsion bars, so I started researching a coilover setup. I ended up coming up with my own set of parts since no one makes a reasonable setup for the Chevy and mine is also 2WD.

Here is a parts list of what I used and as soon as I figure out why my J peg's won't download anymore. I will post pics of the finished product. THE RIDE IS SMOOTHER THAN MY NEW DENALI WAS.....

1. Pro Comp 690001 Shock adapters
2. 2 QA1 DS501 shocks (adjusted to +7)
3. Hyperco 2.5 X12" 850lb springs
4. 1/4" shims to keep lifted ride height

I have 475.00 in this set up.

Pics please. I was considering doing the same but I dont think the upper shock mount is strong enough to hold up the weight of the truck.

pics of parts I used. I had to chop off the useless bump stop and mount. You also have to trim the lip of the UCA for slight clearance for coil spring.

I have an Eibach part number (1200-250-1000) for 1000lb springs for the diesel trucks. They are cheaper than the Hyperco's. Get the QA1 DS502 shocks for the bearing mounts. The DS501's come with a wimpy bushing that WILL NOT hold ANY weight. I made solid bushings for my 501's.
