Question Do i need a tranny cooler??

i am going to be putting a 3400 converter in my truck and was told i needed a tranny cooler with a fan but that my truck already has a tranny cooler can n e one help me out? wat do i need?

upgrade to the largest one you can find...usually a tru-cool 40k

A trans temp gauge would be a smart idea as well.

and yea im getting the trans temp gauge also wat should the temp be around?

Tru cool MAX 40k GVW on ebay for 120+- is the largest out right now. That should keep your temps around 150+-.
The cooler the better. Without a Cooler i was running 200-209 degrees. With one i'm usually around 140.

hey guys ,im new to this forum but old in some others, well ,if i get a tru cool 40K trans cooler the stock one stays there should be removed ?

its up to you...i would remove to make room for the new cooler. its pretty damn big.
