Default Do tranny coolers have a front/back/in/out?

Ok this may be an extremely stupid question, but do tranny coolers have to be installed a certain way?

First of all:

1.) Is there a front or back. There are mounting tabs on the "back" of the tranny cooler but I found that if I flip it around to where the "back" faces the front, it makes life much easier. Is there anything wrong with this?

2.) Is there a specific inlet or outlet? It doesn't say in the directions so I'm thinking you can use either cooler port for the inlet or outlet.

For reference it's a hayden 1679 30k gvw cooler.

Install any direction and fluid flows either direction. Make sure its gets good air flow across it.
Are you using this alone or in tandem w/ the stock cooler? JW.
I got this one from B&M and they said it doesn't matter either way.

I installed it in tandem with the stock cooler. I ended up getting it to fit fine.

Thanks

That was quik... I just replaced the stocker on mine. Didn't really want to run any rubber lines etc.

They flow both ways just fine, but if you install it with the lines coming in on the side, put your feed line on the bottom and your return on the top so it wants to push all the air out the top. Less chance of getting an air pocket in it and reducing the efficiency.
