Exactly like I said before, not an option in a truck as of yet. Cars and SUVs have them, not the trucks.

Every time you have the tires repaired, removed, rotated, or replaced your supposed to reset the tire pressure monitor system. Even if the low tire pressure light did not display.
I too have an Impala. It's an 01' fully loaded LS. It has that tire monitor system as well.
Turn the vehicle engine off, turn on the ignition to on (do not start), turn radio off, press the **** that says DISP, hold until SETTINGS displays on the radio screen. Then, use the arrow buttons ( SEEK/ PSCAN button) until Tire Mon displays. Then use the 1 & 2 radio preset button ( PRE/ NEXT button) press the #2 side (NEXT), it will display RESET. Then press the DISP button until it beeps. Its then reset. Scroll through with arrow button until EXIT diplays, then press the DISP button once more.
Your now done!
Sounds complicated, but it's pretty easy once you do it a few times like I have.
Those are the directions for an Impala with the tire monitor feature. Other GM vehicles will vary.

That's the most complicated manual way, but if you don't have the $600.00 hand held tire pressure reset tool, you have to do it that way.

Actually it works off of rotation of the tires. No sensors on rims or valve stems.
It still works good though.
