Doin' a flip kit out back. wondering about a work around for the tank. Somebody mentioned somewhere about loosening that bolt to droop the leaf spring to get it around/ under the axle............

Welcome to the 4wd dropped world. I never liked how close those spindles get to the axles, i wouldve opted for like lowering A arms. The alignment issue is very common, its gonna be a fun trip to the alingment shop having the truck pull all sorts of directions.
Ive done many drops and never found it possible to bring the leaf around the axle. I am paraniod of dropping my rear axle and not being able to put it back in place, the way ive done it on NBS trucks is take the bolt off by the leaf and you can pry the gas tank just enough to pull the bolt out sideways. Sure it doesnt sound like the best way, but Ive always done it. Then when you put the bolt back in, you can put it in backwards just in case for future reference.

Thanks for chiming in, kaze. I feel better, because the truck acted exactly like that; all over everywhere- I thought I butchered or left something loose down there. Drop arms- I thought that luxury was only afforded to the 2wd people. Truck seemed to have dropped/ settles some overnite as I can no longer stick my head under there for a look, real happy about that............
