Default doing the 80 swap

i pulled out my seventy on monday. kinda a pita but wasnt too bad. did all of the wiring for the 80 last night and i should get the 80 in from the junk yard today. i think i have everything that im gonna need. cooler lines, flex plate, torque converter, yolk, crossover u-joint, torque converter bolts, and of course an 11k mile 4l80e. so far ive got nine hundred into doing this. i did the wiring for the ss by cuttin up an old wiring harness i had so that was free. hope all this works. im young and unexperienced into this side of workin on trucks.

As I stated in your other thread, 2500 cooler lines don't work. Read KySilverado's thread. Search.

The bolts appear to be special bolts with bushings on them for centering I'm assuming. I wouldn't just use any old bolt you find that matches the threads. Use OEM or ARP. The OEM ones are like $6 each.

??? Im about to search but I have been running 2500 lines on my truck for over a year?

Edit: nevermind I guess it only matters if you are wanting to run the factory trans cooler. Otherwise trim the excess and adapt to the aftermarket cooler.

i used the 2500 lines no problem. got the swap done today. all in all modifying crossmember and everything prolly took ten hours. i used the 60 front line and the 80 long line. does everyone elses trucks have the lines that go to the radiator from the tranny?

Wow, that sucks man.

I know you you feel, you get tired of dumping money and time into something, you just want it to run and perform the way it should!

Good luck man.
