Default Drag radial options for 17" wheels

I'm thinking about getting drag radials for my truck when I get it to the track. I'm thinking of using the stock 17" wheels with the 245/45 17 nitto nt555R's, or getting some lightweight 17x9" and using the 275/40 17 BFG or Nitto. I'm spraying at 2500 rpm, and have the stock converter, so do you think I'll need that much tire or can I get by with the stockers with the narrower tire. Heres a pic of the stocks. If you think I'll need the wider tire, what wheels do you suggest? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they do, but I'm only running a 125 shot right now, with my 20's right now, I'm getting a little wheelspin when the nitrous comes on. I'm trying to decide if the 245/45 17 will be enough tire, or if I'll have to go 275/ 40 17. I don't know if I'll ever need the 295's.
