Default Drag Setup w/15s & 5 lug conversion

Okay, I'm not here to ask the infamous question that's been asked so many times about doing a 15" wheel on a 99+ truck. Because unlike some folks, I have clicked the "Search" button numerous times. This is more of a final check list/advice consideration before I pull the trigger.. especially on final fitment of rear tires.

Front:

99-02 1500 brake caliper brackets
2002 S10 blazer calipers
2002 S10 blazer pads
Front stock hubs re-drilled to 5x4.75
Front stock rotors re-drilled to 5x4.75
Trim ball joint studs (Belltech lowering spindle) in order to clear 15" wheel (does this work?)
Either 15x4 or 15x6 front wheel with 1.5" BS or 3.5" BS respectively.
Most likely a 28" tire.

Rear:

Moser axles w/5x4.75 pattern
99-02 1500 brake caliper brackets
2002 S10 blazer calipers
2002 S10 blazer pads
Rear stock rotors re-drilled to 5x4.75
Plan on 15x10 rear wheel with 6.5" of BS.

For the rear tire I'd like to do a 29.5/10.5/15 but I believe Blown06 had clearance issues with the leaf spring on the 6.5 BS. Any suggestions of tire size appreciated VERY much. Tire MUST be street legal and preferably a radial.

Year model is 2004 with a 2/4 lowering kit. Truck will maintain stock suspension.... for now, lol

Thanks

To each his own, but I have the rear converted over waiting on the wheels for all around.

Front 6 bolt Diamond wheels 1.75 offset 15x4.5 wide, the dish on the wheel center should clear the caliper bracket that sticks out. Will do control arms when I lower it.

Rear I used 90 Chevy reg cab front calipers pads and rotors mounted to a custom bracket that bolts to the 4-bolt flange. $125 at my local parts store for the brake parts. re routed the stock lines and bought the correct course thread caliper bolts. Cut the old brackets off so I never even had to take the axle shafts out or open the pumpkin.

I have 5/8" clearance on a stock 16" wheel so I should have 1/8" or better (1/2" radius) on the 15" Diamonds.

Rotors are slightly smaller in diameter than oem but the pistons in the calipers are 3/8" larger than stock so the bias is right on. Did some emergency braking and all feels just right on mine.

Here are some photos of my mock up of the rear, bracket is drawn in plasmacam.

Wheels will be done Monday.

Cheers!

I should be less that 2 weeks out from showing you in person what a 15 X4 205/75/15 front and 15X10 6.5bs 315/60 15 M/T radial combo looks like. Wheels should ship first of next week. All radial ,street legal and track ready.
