OE style? Or an aftermarket brand?

New parts coming in or has come in.

1. TCI deep trans pan - delivered today
2. Braided trans lines (from Glenn Brown to bypass radiator) - ordered
3. Longer WDH shank - ordered
4. Misc 3in exhaust pieces (to drop my ypipe crossover down for the deep pan) - delivered today
5. Oil filter adapter - Ordered
6. Tow mirrors - ordered

I have a mysterious oil leak that I’m chasing. I’ve replaced the oil cooler plate with a ICT billet one while being careful to not over tighten it. I’ve see oil on the bottom of the filter and after googling, this has resolved the issues with leaks even as new as the 2018 models.

I retuned the trans today to force lock the converter in 2nd gear. I tested it out and it does lock and it feels fine driving wise.

I’ve got an email out to CircleD about this specifically. It is a 258mm triple disc that I had built last year.

Ypipe has been fixed. All the bolts in the pan are accessible easily.

My oil leak is a lot less now. The oil cooler block off is still leaking a little bit it’s not near as bad as it was.

Still fighting with the block off plate and the oil leak.

I ordered a different block off tonight. We’ll see what happens in a day or 2.

The oil cooler block off leak is going to be the bane of my existence. The $45 Earle one didn’t fix it and made it significantly worse.

I then went back to the OE one with a new Felpro gasket and it leaked more than it did before and this was after smoothing it out with a flat surface/sandpaper.

Everytime, torqued to spec.

Last night I set it up using black RTV following some directions on ls1tech.

I haven’t fired it off today but I will later this evening. I want to give it the full 24 hrs of cure time.

I put the new trans pan on. I used a oring/metal insert gasket and trashed whatever thin fiber gasket they sent.

Busy day.

Got the new trans pan in. I also found out that one of my bolt holes was stripped out. This had to have happened last year when it was serviced. No other way.

I put in a longer bolt and it snugged up good so it should be fine.

With that pan on she's thirsty has fk. I had to add back right at 2.5 gallons. The pan itself is a +3 quart or so pan.

I also got the new trans lines in bypassing the radiator. What a pain in the ***. It's done, no leaks, no dribbles. With the fittings that Glenn supplies, they are ICT fittings. DO NOT GO FULL GORILLA TIGHT ON THESE!!!DO NOT GO FULL GORILLA TIGHT ON THESE!!!
DO NOT GO FULL GORILLA TIGHT ON THESE!!!
DO NOT GO FULL GORILLA TIGHT ON THESE!!!

Just a good snug is all you need. The oring will seal it.

I also managed to fix the oil leak at the cooler block off by letting the RTV set overnight/today. I think the key with this is when you first put it on with RTV, just snug the bolts up a little, not even full tight. This evening I snugged them up a little more. No leaks, I'll take it.

Trans temps - just putt putting around she hovered right around 130-140 degrees.

Here are the mirrors. The have turn signal leds on the mirror and back portion and they extend about 6 or 8 inches.
