Default drive shaft length

i'm looking for length specs for a 2wd tahoe. not sure where to measure from and to. where ever you would measure for a shop to get the length right if they were making one. and which would be better stock steal shaft or the bigger aluminum shaft from a silverado shortened to stock tahoe length?

check out dennys driveshafts it tells you how. It'll depend on the length, you'll hav eto go AL if it's longer, but if its shorter I think you can do either, although I think the AL is better.
