Default Driveline clunk

When going into gear sometimes but always when I leave a light there is a clunk coming from what seems like the differentials. The u joints seem to be fine, I put the truck into neutral, and jerked both drive shafts around and I get the same clunk. The shafts will turn about 1/4 of the way and then will clunk. What would cause this? Transfer case? Both differentials? I don't know if I tested it wrong

what truck do you have?

I have a 08 CCSB and it does the same thing. My fix for it is every time I do an oil change I pull the drive shaft clean all the grease off the splines that slip on the trans and fill the splines back up with some heavy duty grease.

2 wheel or 4 wheel? extended cab or crew cab or regular cab? if you have the 2 piece drive shat its normal just grease it every oil change.
