Default Driveshaft removal :(

Hey guys, this is another story of a stock driveshaft letting go. I was doing a burnout, ....go figure, and I was finishing a set of tires that were to be junked. Well at around 80 in 2nd gear I must of hit a smooth patch or something and my truck shifted to 3rd and pegged the speedo. It happened alot faster than I would of thought. the instant it shifted I began to let off but it was too late and by then horrible sounds were coming from below. I shut it down and found this:

It punched a small hole in my bed and tore the fuel supply line and ruined my new magnaflow. Its all in good fun though I got a new line from the dealer for $25 and a junkyard driveshaft $150. It drives great but I'm getting a very strange exhaust sound lol. thought I would share just to reinforce everyone to keep it below 120mph during burnouts...

the lesson: I'm a dumb college kid that got lucky (no broken trans or rear end).

Clint

Yeah,my two piece shaft has held up thru all the abuse I gave it, and some pretty high speed runs without a problem yet.

buddy on here went 140 and blew his driveshaft off. But he wasn't as lucky as you, it destroyed the built trans that I just built him 2 weeks before..
