Wink

I vote to keep the truck and do the upgraded FLT level 5 65E or 70E swap!
You will not hurt that tranny Dub.

You just need to step back for a day or so from under your truck to make a good decision before making rash decisions.
You figure out keeping the truck will be the best decision.

Keep the 80E and get a 2 piece shaft! You'll have more room to grow with the 80E, and the 2 piece won't rob a noticable amount of power considering you're going to an 80E at the same time. I would just get a junkyard 2 piece from and HD truck that came with an 80E. That will get you real close.

Yeah it, obviously he has the means to make a crossmember(he made his transmission crossmember), put the two piece in, measure where the CB needs to go, get so 2x4 tubing, cut to fit weld it in and you are done. Would take all of 2 hours to accomplish.
