Yeah the clunk is the "nature of the beast" says a lot of gm dealerships, I learned that the snapping or clunk noise when u move it by hand is normal in the t case. nothing to worry about there. BUT, the u-joints on our FS chevys almost all of the time, bind up and the bearings are shot, but you cant tell until they are removed. Just because they "seem" tight when you twist them when its in the truck, doesnt mean they are. Slide the driveshaft out, and move them back and forth by hand-thats the real way to tell!

cool thanks for the more info on it. the clunk from a take off is getting more and more annoying. it almost feels like something shifts. i think it may be a bushing or something loose cuz it feels the same way my old explorer did when the radius arm bushings were bad. i think i have something messed up with my tbars, last time i looked at them they looked out of place or twisted, ill have to take a pic and see what you guys say.

Mine clunks and you can feel it when you break, can't really feel the 4-3, then you can feel the 3-2 hard, and then right before you compleltly stop you can feel the 2-1.
It bumps you foward a little bit when it downshifts. It also feels like it has a little slack when you first take off and it also seems like it clicks if you have the windows down.
