I've actually been using the Aeroquip hose and 'Pushlok' fittings for quite a while now with no ill effects (it was originally recommended to me by a hose manufacturer/supplier we use at work).
Is that with any properly sized hose or only the Aeroquip?

Not sure if they can be used/are appropriate for 'any' hose.
I used them on my fuel lines when replacing the pump with the Walbro but I used clamps as well for the very reason you've asked about.
There are different brands of 'pushlok' fittings also. Mine are a local brand called 'RYCO'. They are available in the 'Aeroquip' brand.

Installed the heatshield and made a couple of brackets to hold the steel lines secure.

I didn't put my new heat shield on. It incorporates hangers for the exhaust on a 6.0L/80e combo that I don't have. When I re-do my exhaust I will take advange of them and use the shield.

I didn't get the lines running over the steering gear box at first. Dang RH Drive

Thanks, Hope it helps you. The 80e is doing fine. I do have a mystery leak somewhere. Every couple of weeks it will decide to leave a small present on the garage floor and I cannot find where it is coming from.

Surely you aren't tired of hearing this, but your write up has been an AMAZING piece of work. I often lose interest in something quickly is the information is presented in less-than-desirable fashion; I just read all 26 pages of this write up front to back without so much as a 'nature' pit-stop And I'm honestly no where close to doing the swap presented, lol. I've only got an 04 4.8 ECSB right now, but when the time comes...would like to do the 6.0/80E swap jointly. Sorry to semi-jack your thread sir...but you did a phenomenal job!!

And it's a bullet-proof 4.8 no doubt! With as much as I'd like to do to the engine now, and what I've read on here...I'd really like to go with a 6.0/80E transplant before I do any power mods...even with as bad as I'd like to throw in a full exhaust, cam, tune, etc...I'm going to be strong and save up the pennies and shoe in the 6.0 first... I can still go with the new wheels/tires and add that second tone of paint though=)
