Hey KY just wanted to say thanks for the writeup. I just put a 6.0 and 4l80 in my 2wd 99 and your thread helped alot. the 4l80 is the first mod i did just so i didn't have to worry.
It would be sweet to see some more writeups, maybe NO2 or something!

Yeah....the pushlok fittings are fine. No need for clamps. Infact...it's recommended clamps NOT be used when using 'Pushlok' fittings.
I've actually been using the Aeroquip hose and 'Pushlok' fittings for quite a while now with no ill effects (it was originally recommended to me by a hose manufacturer/supplier we use at work).

Wanna know what happens when you put a hose clamp on PUSH LOK??
It leaves you sittin on side of the road with a busted hose..
i had hose clamps on my trans lines and if you tighten down the barbs on the fitting cut thru the rubber on the inside of the hose and you can imagine what happens after that

Man what a great write up.. i just got done reading all 28 pages. this will help me out alot when i decide to do my 6.0/80e swap once my warranty is up. thanks alot for all the detailed pictures
