Once you get it hooking good, then you can really start replacing parts.

ET Streets are better than any drag radial out there. They are basically a slick with 2 tiny groves to make them dot legal. Quick explosive power like nitrous will not hook hard even with those e.t. streets. They do all they can but when the axle is wraping and the suspension is not designed to hold that kind of power then even the stickiest of all tires will not always the answer.

I like the M/T drag radial over the M/T ET streets or ET drags. I have tried them all and the M/T street radials definitely hook better on the street by far.

I find it hard to believe a RADIAL will hook better than a softer compound slick. I could be wrong but I'll stick with the ET Streets.

Well, I checked out MT's webite and I will have to say that the ET Street Radials DO use a softer compound vs. the ET Streets. The Radials use a R2 compound and the ET Streets use a M5 compound.

MICKEY THOMPSON COMPOUND SELECTION CHART
Medium--------------------------Soft
B1 M7 M5 R2 R1 L8 L7 M9 B2 L4 M2

B1- For motorcycles.
B2- For motorcycles.
L4 - Soft compound for Dragsters, lightweight vehicles and vehicles without rear suspension.
L7- For motorcycles.
L8- Good compound for general use.
M2- For Jr. Dragsters.
M5- Good compound for general use.
M7- Good compound for general use.
M9- Aggressive compound for heavy cars, 3000lbs+
R1- Special Compound for ET Drag Radial.
R2- Special Compound for ET Street Radial.
