ok well thats what i was thinkin the whole time, but why was other people like exhappen saying fat side to the back? but that doesnt matter. i have my confirmed answer now

Man, a lot of threads on this lately. I'm still trying to figure out my shimmy. It comes and goes and teh 2 degree shim didn't do anything for me. The coming and going makes me think maybe the shocks. Who knows. I'm almost at the point to putting the stockers back on just to see if it goes away.

I will now say I cant blame you for asking this very over looked question you have.
I've been thinking more and more about it and have now changed my statements. The diagram in the first page of this thread by Colby is correct.
The fat side will need to be to the rear of the truck to lift the pinion angle.
I'm 85% on this changed statement!
Lets hear what more have to say. Maybe someone with just a shackle drop and shims will look under their truck and see which way the wedge is placed in.
Though I'm really leaning towards the fat side facing to the rear!

For Everyone: Summit sells a cheap plastic tool that measures pinion angles. Not really sure how it works though. It says it's accurate to a 1/2*. Here it is:

man call me stupid but i dont want to buy a tool andd measure it. if anything i would just install them one way and cross my fingers and test it....i just need to pull up next to my dads truck and see if my angle is too shallow or too deep and then fat side forward if its too shallow or fat rear if its too deap
