Default Fender flares or not?

My 06 came with fender flares. I am trying to decide if I want them on there or not. It is a Silver birch metalic truck with the painted fender flares. I am planning on lowering it and throwing on some 22's.

What does everyone think? Any pics of lowered with fender flares and lowered without fender flares would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

I'd lose the flares before they left permanent marks, especially if you're lowering it. I kick myself everyday for putting molded mudflaps on my truck when I bought it...they looked good at the time, when I was running 33's, but now that I'm lowered and they're gone, there's rusty spots where moisture and junk collected, not to mention wear marks from where they flexed

My personal opinion is that most trucks look smoother without flares or flaps...although Quick's truck looks pretty cool since he has the whole matched ground effect package.

I used to like the fender flares myself but after some time they are going to leave marks and they won't look so good. Especially on a lowered truck.

Like these gjuys said, take them off...I'm glad I did, there was sand, dirt, cocoons little stones, etc. under mine that had rubbed the paint, plus they wore through the paint where they were stuck on w/ the tape.

Quiks truck is the perfect example of a lowered truck with flares.

I have tossed around the idea, but since my truck didn't come with them I'm not going to add them.
