Default Finally got Hydroboost Installed!!

Well i got off work early Friday and decided to go hunt down some stuff at the Junkyard.

Got everything i needed and headed home.

Started the install right away with finally gettin the rear SS Braided Lines installed since i didnt have anything to do.

Got everything put in except the High Pressure line that goes from the Booster to the Gear Box.. Ordered it from Advanced Auto for $18

I filled the Resivor and let it sit over night with the Bleeders cracked just engough to drip.

Next morning i got the HP hose installed and filled everything with fluid and let it idle for 10 minutes to get the air out of the Power Steering Pump and lines.

Started to try to bleed the air out of the brakes, Well the Pedal didnt want to return so after fooling with it for an hour i called Shoichmeteric. He told me what to do.

Finally got all the air out of the Master cylinder then out of the brake lines..

Went for a test drive in the pasture (just incase i had a leak or something came loose ) )

After checking every thing over i went to test them out..

All i have to say is: with the Vacuum brakes....
It is absolutly amazing as to how much better these brakes work now.

I have these EBC rotors:

and the EBC Green Heavy duty pads for the SUVs with stock rear and the 5 peice SS brake lines...

Lets just say it stops now....
They were so bad with the vacuum booster brakes that it was scary to drive much less a empty trailer... and the booster/master cylinder was new..

It was the best $200 ive ever spent.. and that included the new line and all fluids, even a one man bleeder thingy ma bobber...

Congrats on getting it done. One of the best mods I've done to mine also. Let a buddy drive my truck the other day that owns a stock silverado. He's wanting me to put the system on his truck now.

you know that feeling when your knuckles are turning white cause your clenching your fist on the steering wheel and your standing on the brakes as hard as you can and your not stopping and the red light is gettin closer by the second??

Well divide that force your putting on the pedal by 10. Multiply the pressure goin to the brakes by 10. Divide your stopping distance by 10...

Maybe that gives you a good idea??

With SS Braided Lines you dont have any "Mushy pedal" feel.. its more responsive and you get better "Feel"... its hard to describe..

Imagine you have 1 ton brake setup on a 1/2 ton truck...
