Hey, new guy here... been on a few other sites, but just found this one about two weeks ago.

Nonnieselman, what exactly was the fix for the pedal not returning? I just did this conversion today and have the same problem you did. It will return, just very slowly.

Love the site, will definitely be around more, lol.

you got a XD?

Take the MC resivor cap off... pump the brakes a few times and see if you have any bubbles rise up... if you do, then you have air in the master cylinder.
You dont have to crank it.. just press the pedal a few times and let it sit for a few mintues.

After about 30 minutes of doin that mine started to get better.
then later that night it firmed up really good..

So just keep pumping it until you see no more air bubbles.

Once it starts feeling better, then go for a drive. it will get all the bubbles out.

Did you bleed the brakes?

No XD, just like the way the name looks.

I evidently have alot of air in the MC, the pedal goes almost all the way to the floor, but it will hold the truck still. Havent bled the brakes yet, wanted to make sure the MC was working correctly since the rear outlet was plugged (bought it used). I did fill the MC with brake fluid before reassembly and verified all inlets and outlets were flowing properly. Looks like I'm going to have to get a MC bleeder kit and start there. Thanks for the info.

These all dealer parts to do the conversion? Sounds like a good deal for 200 bucks.

My setup was $230 from a local scrapyard. I think using all new parts from the dealer puts in in the $700 or so area.

That's about the right price. I got my MC & Booster for $50 used, $10 for the brake pedal, $75 for the HP hoses and about another $15 for the PS return hose, brake fluid & the 'T'. Already had clamps & PS fluid, so ~$160 or so for mine. I did however, have to cut the opening larger for the booster to fit through. The cab was shaped for it, but the bracket inside the truck needed to be cleared.
