Finsihed up the 4in drop Flip Kit
Well over the last 4 days i have basically replaced everything suspension related on my truck.
On the front:
2in DJM control arms,
I replaced the ball joints with Raybestos professional grade ones
new stock raybestos springs
new inner and out tie rods
New upper control arms
New poly end links
new poly sway bar bushings
Everything was complete shot. everything had sooooo much slop in it....
Here is the pic of the djm (left) vs raybestos (right) ball joints.
Next up is the rear, i wanted to do a flip kit but i did not want the 6in drop. So i lowered the rear hanger 2inches. I added a piece of 2in sqaure tubing to mount the lower holes.
First up i got a new set of leaf springs. I moved the middle spring back 4inches so i could mount the front bracket of the assassin bars. I just unbolted it, slid it back, then redrilled the hole. I also had to cut off about 5inchs from the front of the overload spring so the bars would not hit when the suspension was fully unloaded. (not pictured). I also replaced all the bushings in the springs and the shackles with energy suspsension poly bushings.
after some work disassembling and reassembling here is the rear hanger all moved
New upper and lower shock mounts all welded up
lower shock mount
all finished up, BTW my truck is absolutely filthy from all the work...
I am getting it aligned tomorrow. but i did take it for a short spin. Man it rode alot better. I eased into the throttle some and it actually stuck!!!! I was excited about that. I have a brand new set of Hankooks going on tomorrow as well...

Man, that looks great. I wish I had the skills to do that stuff myself. I bought my truck with a Belltech 0/2 kit that just removed a leaf and added a block (I think). From here, I don't know what to do to get the rear down 2 more inches. I've had 3 different people look at it and had 3 different answers. I don't know anybody who knows enough to do like you did. Again, your set up looks GREAT.

thanks guys. I am just gonna run some regular Hankooks since i DD my truck. Same tires that i allready have. I got 2+ years out of them so i am happy with them and when they were new they did have decent amount of traction. Well that was when i was NA....

It rides pretty good granted i have only driven it like 2 miles due to the alignment. I will know more tomorrow if all of this was worth it.
The next big issue is what todo with my exhaust. There is little room to make the tip poke out the side like i had it.
