Firestone 2190 air ride helper spring non hd?
I was doing a bit of research on air helper springs and I have a 2000 silverado and the kit i'm suppose to use is 2320 firestone sport rite but i was wondering if anyone could chime in about if the 2190 ride rite kit could be use it's for a 2001 1500HD model I'm not sure what all could be different between the two models of trucks i heard they used the 2500 frame on the hd but used lighter springs so idk. Reason for asking I like the install of the 2190 kit much more than the 2320 looks like better air bags as well. I would be able to load more also even though it's not a good idea. Thanks for any help

after looking at both installation instructions and looking at the truck it would seem i would be able to install the 2190 on a 2000 1500 silverado i was hoping someone could chime in on this

I looked at the kits that you were talking about and yes, I see your point. It's funny how they seemed to miss the 2000 body style. But, then I clicked on a link on the page and came up with this kit.
I just ordered a new Air Ride/Slam Air kit for my truck yesterday and am sorry that I didn't see the 2190 kit first.

I figured i'd recap this topic since it might help others in the future i ended buying and installing the 2190 kit on my 2000 1500 silverado install wasn't bad at all, here is the problem the kit comes with plates to reinforce the frame in the area where the bags go. well the 1500 frame isn't as thick as the 2500 frames or 1500hd's so in turn you can't use there plates. well I ended up using shorter bolts and just bolting the bag onto one side of the frame temp/long term option. My end solution is to cut down the brackets that come in the kit to fit my frame, I haven't gotten that far yet just due to so many other things going on in life. Good news i've weighted it down pretty good already and the frame didn't twist yet lets hope it doesn't. So i guess if you need a little bit of help from time to time you could get by without the plates.
