Default FLT or Performabuilt?

I don't want to start a big which one is better thing as much as get suggestions on my application needs. (I did do a search under FLT or Performabuilt)

Basically a 2005 Z71 4x4 ECSB with a Radix @ 7 psi closing in on 400 hp.
Daily driver. No track racing launches, heavy hauling or super off roading. 3:42 gears.

The PerformaB Level 2 and no core charge over the FLT Level 3 with a core charge and two week wait has me leaning to the PerformaB. I know the core charge is not done if I ship it back in time.

Your experienced thoughts are wanted here. Thanks

Honestly? Do the FLT level 5 or go to a FLT 4L80e and forget about it. You will undoubtedly want more HP in the future, why limit yourself?

Oh the Pain Will Robinson! Oh the pain!

I'm doing the "Lost In Space Dr. Smith" over here.

If you guys remember I just had a local do me a build and I defended them over an FLT and the like. Believing in them and not being able to wait 2 weeks I went in and have been back in 5 times! Now it's slipping in the 3-4 and the fluid smells!
They keep trying to stand behind it but it's getting old. I'm taking it back in the Morning and I don't know whats going to happen.
What do you do when you pay a shop to do something and your not happy?
Can I ask for cash back and tow it out of there.
What is the ethical thing to do?

The damn thing is fine on the drive out but things keep cropping up and it's not from abuse!

either is a good choice. do whichever one makes the most since for your situation, personally i'd go Performabuilt.

Thanks, I emailed Frank with my specs and driving style and he recommended the level 2.
I don't see me upping my power. I ran it as was for several years. I just dropped one pulley size recently and am very happy. I just need a good trans now.

Well it would be a harder decision to make if FLT didn't have such a long wait time.
I got a burnt 3-4 on an only car daily driver and a **** absentee policy where I work.

Heh, heh-heh! Ohhhh the painnnn!
