Dex VI as they are backwards compatible. Also, you get the benefits of the new synthetic blends that are in Dex VI.

Below is an excerpt from the GM press release:

http://www.gm.com/vehicles/innovatio...ase_30NO07.doc

"...DEXRONŽ-VI fluids are designed to be backward compatible with earlier transmission hardware. More importantly, earlier type fluids are not forward compatible with transmission hardware that was designed to use DEXRONŽ-VI fluid, i.e. DEXRONŽ-III is not compatible with the most recently designed transmissions, and the use of these earlier type fluids could result in transmission damage..."

I've already read all of the hype and propaganda from GM and the other manufacturers. I'm in the business, and I worked for GM for 14 years.

I'm looking for first-hand, real world experience with Dexron VI in 4L60E/4L65E.

Andy, thanks for your input. Is there any reason that you guys haven't made the switch to Dexron VI?

We have customers running dex 6. I have had people tell me they can't find dex 3 anymore. We have not had any problems with the dex 3 and we have been using it all along.

Thanks guys. Andy, since you have customers running the 6, and since nobody had anything negative to say about it, I'm running the 6.

I sure hope this doesn't bite me in the ***! :nunchuk1:
