Default ford 9" rear end, 31 spline

i've come up with where i can get one of these very cheap and in good condition. i'm going to be setting up my rear suspension with a 4 link and coil overs so i won't have to worry about trying to modify for the shock mounts or leaf spring pads.

so what would i still have to do to mount one up? can my current brake set up and hubs be made to work?

also, i'm going to have to narrow it for the new wheel/tire set up i'm going to get...so anyone know the length for my current axle?

and last...can my stock axle be narrowed if i have to stick with it?

I just finished my 9" project. I would suggest putting stronger axles in there. Brakes i went with strange f body street brakes for 2 reasons. They were 5 lug so so i could use a drag wheel and cause they were small enough for a drag wheel unlike the truck wheels. My 9" is a full 10" narrower than the stock rear end.
