Default Found out what was up with the tranny

Nothing serious at all. I noticed it was shifting alittle funny at wide open throttle. I figured it was low of tranny fluid, so I checked it and sure enough.... Next thing was to look under the truck to check out the fluid. It was all over due to the driveshaft. I cleaned it all up and left it until morning.
I checked it out this morning and saw that it had blown out the gasket that connects the tail piece of the tranny to the main unit. I'll get it in the shop tomorrow and replace it and everything should be good to go. I don't think any damage was done to the tranny, and luckily tranny temps stayed normal. Wish me luck!!!

Cool

Good luck getting the seals replaced. I read a post that the seals in the tailshaft failing might indicate that the driveshaft is too long on a lowered truck. They said they had to cut out 2" of driveshaft. Might want to have a look at it while you are getting the seals fixed.
