front axle bearings and seals
I need tips and advice I have to change the driver side bearing and seal on my wifes 06 cc 1500 I have never been in to the front end before do I need to drop it and split it? Or can I leave it in the truck? Help guys

If it was just the seal, it would stay in the truck, but the whole diff has to be removed to get to the bearing. Its a PITA to rebuild one IMO. My front diff has ate 3 sets of gears and bearings from the stupid locking tabs letting the spanners back off. It has been sitting on the bench for over a year now because Im tired of throwing money at it.
