Default front limit straps

who has used them and how did you make them?

i'm trying to get a better 60ft but my front lifts so much it unloads the front end, and it tries to send me into the wall. i got a 1.89 i think was my best. but i'm holding the wheel 90* to keep going straight. and my front right tire tends to lift and freewheel. so there is lost power there. i know i have a 5.3l high 11 run in there on a cool night with a good straight 60ft.

I bought some here in San Diego at ORW (off road warehouse) for my 04 AWD Silverado SS..They were for offroad trucks and available in a bunch of lengths...I think I used 12"...I used 1/2" grade 8 bolts and drilled through the control arm and frame...worked really well. I was actually able to pull a 1.67 with them on...Summit or Jegs should also have em..Good Luck!

With all that transfer I think you would be better off running 2wd with DR's on the rear. The only way your going to eliminate the transfer is by strapping the front down, and stiffen up the rear. Some adjustable rear shocks set on stiff would help wonders at the drags.

straps are cheaper than an axle....... remember i've broke two axles with this thing in 2wd. i'm not gonna chance it again. no matter the argument I'm not willing to prove people wrong with my wallet. lol that's refereed to the people that think my detroit locker weakened the axles. even though one was only in there for like a week before i broke it.

didn't mean to rant.

I went from 1.62 60's to 1.57 with straps. Custom made by Synergy using cables but same thing basically, adjustable.

Agreed, I didn't notice any change in my ride at all. The only way you could notice a change is if the truck went over something hard enough to cause it to bounce. Every time you hit a normal bump, it will just add slack into the straps and things just go as normal.
