i've got the torsion bar turned up on my truck since i got it, and the stock shocks are WASTED. what do you guys recommend as a replacement shock for the additional couple inches from the torsion lift?

Bilstein makes fronts for your truck as well as a few other manufacturers. I'll try to get you a part # for the fronts when I return to work next week but the only ones I have had success with have been the bilsteins or edelbrocks. Oru sells the edelbrocks for around $140 for the pair and they are the only shocks that have held up in my brother's duramax (I tried 6 different brands).

Bilstein makes a slightly longer version in their 5100 series. I don't know the part number off the top of my head though.
You'll want that if you cranked your TBs up a lot. Other option is get some spacers to add length to either the top or bottom of the shocks.

Do a search on www.dieselplace.com, I know the part number is listed there as lots of guys order them. Should be no difference from your truck than theirs except the diesel.
