Default frt drive shaft & transfer case issue

Recently I started to notice a noise coming from under the truck in the transfer case area. Af first I thought the noise was from the rear driveshaft, so I bitched when I bought the truck and they replaced the rear u-joints & slip-yoke putting in the newer style nickel plated one. This cured some of the issues for a while, then a similar noise returned. This time I'm pretty sure its from the front yoke on the transfer case, if i grab the front drive shaft I can move it up and down & side to side pretty easy, now I know it should have some play but this is enough play that I can mimick the same noise. So has anyone had this issue before? Just wondering if this is something that is common?

Thanks
J

No...shouldn't move like that at all. Take it back. Nothing should be easily moved any where between motor and wheels.
