Default g80 to true trac

i searched but didnt find the info i was looking for. i was wondering what parts it would take to swap my g80 for a true track and replace the 3.73 with 4.10. i know i need the ring and pinion and the diff unit, but do i need to replace spider gears and stuff.

get the ring, pinion, detroit trutrac and a yukon master install kit. that should be everything you need

But if you don't know what you are doing I wouldn't be trying to slap those things in by yourself. Unless you are prepared to possibly listen to to your gears howl. It's not as simple as just a bolt in job. You have to set the proper backlash, preload and gear mesh pattern or your gears will likely sound terrible and have a reduced lifespan.

That Yukon gear install kit sure is a nice piece!

mine is in the back seat along with my tru-trac. i heard the yukon kit comes with everything you need and more

ive done a couple before, a while back but never changed ratios. thanks for the replies guys.
