Default Is a G90 the right converter?

Hey guys. Recently had my tranny go on me. Turns out it was the converter that failed and screwed everything up with pieces all over the tranny. Its getting rebuilt with the 5 piston planetary and stronger sunshell and of course the HD-2 kit. Gonna leave the servo out of this one. Barking 35's is begging for problems i feel.

So he was talking about a new converter and i dont want the same. So in his recon/axiom book he points out a G90 thats meant to fit the trailblazer 4.3 or 4.8. All the measurements are the same as the G92 which is a replacement for my 5.3 Does this sound right? It should stall around 2500 +/- right?

Thanks for any insight...i just saw my tranny spread across a big *** table. Very interesting..

Just called the stealership and they had 3 part numbers for the I6 converter.
24227090
24213393
24228708
Ranging from 363/380 in price. Id rather have a yank 2600 for that price..
