gathering opinions on 4.30 gears and 305/50/20 (32/12/20)tires
Hello all!
I've decided that its time to remove the cst lift and run something a little more conservative. My problem is I geared to run 305/55/20s which come out too (33/12.50/20). Right now I'm running a 4.30 gear and it turns the 33" trail graps with out issue. They also run nice on the city streets and in the highways. If I were to drop to a 305/50 which is a (32/12/20) would the 4.30 be too much? The tire weight will drop 25lbs per tire, approximately 1" or so and a tad in the width.
My concerns are being over geared as this is a dd. And the whole reason for lowering the truck is to hopefully obtain better mpg.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks
Yes, I did see the other thread about gears and 305s and that didn't answer my question
