I know of a place in Baytown called Pyle Bros. that do gear installations.

Here's some reading material from LS1tech about em.

Pyle bros all the way...I'm right around the corner from me and they do excellent work. Price for labor is a little steep but they back it up for sure

Just because the cost of the install is more than the cost of your parts does NOT mean you are getting ripped off. I do gears constantly at work. They can be a bitch sometimes. Other times they fall together perfectly. But if you haven't done gears (correctly) before, pay the pros to do it. You get what you pay for. Especially if they have a good rep, and stand behind their work.

And just an FYI, my shop charges about $350 for a rear axle gear install on a late model chevy rear end. Labor only.
