Default Gear Question

Im having my g80 replaced with a true trac and the guy thats doing it says im gonna have to have new gears as well. What brand should I go with? He seems to think that richmond is terribly loud. Any help would be greatly appreciated

well i run richmond and have no problems or noise from them, quite a few run motive and or yukon gears

All he said was that everything looked to worn to put into another one....Ill talk to him tonight...what all should i ask him?

Well. It's a good time to change the ratio while your in there. So you might as well check out Ron's Machining service on ebay and get you a new gear. He has really good prices.

Keep your factory gear and post up pics of it. If it's still good you could probably sell it. At the least you'll have good piece of mind that you have a new ring n pinion in there.

If you wish to inspect it, look for cracks, nicks, and shavings.

Rons has a truetrac ring and pinion and install kit for 569...that sound pretty good?

I think you mean 559 and yes.
If you go in and add up each of those items individually you are getting a nice discount as a package. If the ratio you want isn't listed just pick one and put in the payment remarks that you want XX ratio.
I ordered the package deal for mine.

And make sure you are choosing the correct rearend. I sent my vin code just to be sure.

I had the TruTrac and Yukon 4.10's installed for about $900 +/-.
