Hey people its been awhile since I have been on here due to workin on my other project but now I wanna do something else to my 2WD 2002 tahoe. I want to put a 4:11 or 4:30 gear in with the detroit tru trak. I found a thread on here a long time ago on where the best place to buy it from that has a good deal on em. So does anyone now that answer lol and I wanna hear from the fellas that has already done this if they would do the 411 or 430 gear.
Im runnin 305/30/24 tires so it kinda sucks matched with the stock 3:42 gear and the one wheel peel aint workin for me either anymore
I just installed my pacesetter LTs and I want some bottom end back cause I did not have much to start with. Oh and another thing I wanted to know is what kit to get as in a complete overhaul or just a basic kit. It would be nice to find the whole package in one. I remember there being something with the spines 28,30 or whatever number... I cant remember so I need to know that also so I dont get stuck anywhere or end up orderin the wrong part.
Thanks for any help you guys may offer and if I left out any details please let me know.

Definately get the overhaul kit. It comes with all bearings, including axle, shims, bolts, marking grease etc. You provide the gear, PT, axles and tools.
I suggest the 4:11 as 4:30 and stiffer won't drive well on the freeway. I have 285-35-22's and am looking at 4:11's. the math I have done show's it is the best compromise unless you only want performance and don't worry about the price of go juice.

+1 on the 4.11s. i really liked mine, anything else will hurt mileage too much IMO. you should have the 30 spline axles like mine. i went with the eaton LSD and i really like it. super strong part with good solid lockup. i had a cheap set of gears that lasted all of thirty miles before they ate themselves. i have the Rickmonds now and those feel great. no noise whatsoever and they have a good reputatation.
