It's heavier and full-time AWD (I will keep in this in place) which helps with traction,. I'm also at high altitude which saps power significantly.

Most likely. I come from a Jeep background so I am always sensitive to the effect increasing tire size has on limited engine performance. This is why selecting tire size first and building accordingly is the most logical thing to do.

I run mine in autotrac at the track and if I’m running someone but the rest of the time it’s in 2 wheel to save tires and fuel. You need to do the final drive calc for the 6l80, it’s low even with a larger tire.

Even with a PD blower. Why on earth would you need 4.11? I spin all 4 thru the 60’, that would just make it worse.

Meanwhile I am doing 4.88s with 35s in my 6L80 swapped Tahoe 🤣

I am at 5500' ASL, tow a lot and don't really care for MPG, so maybe my use case is too far removed from what everyone is suggesting, but I love gear

I agree you can have too much gear, but if you're under or at 2500rpm at 75, you don't have too much gear. Imo

Do you have a stock converter?

Have been thinking of going from 3.42 to 4.10, in an AWD with a PD blower, stock converter.

Haha, yes, I know it's hard for flatlanders to understand what it's like up here. The PD blower is the first step in restoring power but the balance now is get it to run in bypass as much as possible while cruising. In retrospect, I'm guessing some 3.73s, exhaust, intake, and a tune are all I probably needed!
