Default gears???????????

ok i have 3.42 now and i want higher gears, i was thinking 4.10 but will my MPG and highway driving suck? or should i go with something like 3.73. i have 275/45/20 tires.

You won't hardly notice any difference until you put in a stall, then thats when it goes down. I'd personally go with the new Motive 4.30's.

Even with the 4.56:1, @ 70mph in od, you will only be turning 2800 rpm according to the online TCI calc. Go with the 4.30's. If I didn't have a Z71, I would put the 4.30's in.

Not to be a dick but actually 4.10's is a lower grear then 3.42's. As said it won't be that much of a change in rpm between the 2, some but not alot.. Mpg might get better driving in town because 4.10's will help the lil 4.8.

if your going to spray i wouldnt go with too low of a gear, nothing lower than 4:10's at least. JMO

4.30's would be an excellent choice, the closer you can get the rpms to peak hp ant the finish line the better off you are. 4.56's are a bit too low for spraying and 4.10's would be perfect for spraying. 4.30's for most vehicles would be the best performing option IMO. Unless your trapping 125 mph or more, I think the 4.30s are good.
