Well this is just my opiinon...

4.10s if you want track times or you if you like taking off real quick from a stop light.

3.73s if you want a gooooood 2nd gear pull on the highway, meaning you like to hammer the peddle down to pass people...

the only thing i hate about my 4.10s is that nice highway speed kick down.... I have to be at 65mph to kick down into 2nd, and it only stays in second for a brief moment... way back when i had my 3.42s it i was awesome i could kick it down into 2nd at like 70-75 and pull for awhile...

you all are saying driveshaft....is there issues at a higher RPM at track, or on highway speeds? I have 3.42's with now 31" tall tires, plan on 4.10's....will there be concerns?

stock driveshaft is known to go boom at high rpms or high speeds associated with hp, large stalls and steep gears. I think you will be fine with your setup. Based on the mods in your sig i put down more power than you and i race my truck with 4.10s. you will be fine. if you start putting out more power though look into a custom shaft

I'm seriously eying the 3.90's as a happy medium since I am running a shorter tire.

It has more to do with the length of the DS in the crew cabs...There about a mile long under there

I ordered some 4.10's from Ron's last night! Can't wait, Imma just set my speed limiter on my truck not to exceed 105, which at that rpm with the 4.10's will be about the same rpms I have turned with the 3.23's (approx 136 mph) . I may go ahead and have it balanced too just for added insurance. I will do a driveshaft when moola allows though
