Gears in!
Well the gears are done!
Just an fyi, the pinion bearings are indeed different on the 09 and newer 10 bolt and also the fill is not on the passenger side of the case, but on the rear cover itself. Still holds 3 qt's, and all else seems the same.
Used a .036" shim on the pinion and got the backlash @ .007". The gears do make a little noise, which I expected, they were 120.00...lol, hell I've paid almost 200 for richmonds that made noise before.
The truck drives about 100,023 times better with the converter than with the 3.23's and feels like it may have picked up a good bit, I only have about 20 miles on it so I'll break it in a while longer, change the lube and punch the **** out of it

I have put some miles on and got in it from a dig today....it actually hooks better than with the 3.23's and pulls way stronger, the top of third pulls very good for the baby v8. I did set my speed limiter back to 105 to ensure that i won't test my luck with the driveshaft. Pulled great to 105, has a vibration at about 80 for just a sec. then smooths back out.....itdid that with the 3.23's too but it occured at a higher speed like....115 or so. I love the gears!!!
