Gears for OBS Silverado
I have a 1999 Extended Cab truck with the 5.7 Vortec/4L60E and my next mod will probably be installing a Truetrac with a set of gears. I currently have 3.42's with open diff and I had my mind set on 3.90's for a while, but I'm having second thoughts about going with this setup. I've considered doing 3.73's, but I would like to know if anyone has has any experience with the 3.90's. I'm running a 275/45R20 tire that is about 29.75 inches tall. I drive the truck everyday and do a little highway driving, but not everyday. All my buddies have NBS trucks and are running 4.10's with their 5.3's and a couple with LS1 swaps. I know the 350 makes a lot more low end power, so I don't think I need to go with that high of a ratio. Thanks

i wouldnt be afraid at all to run a 4:10 gear in that truck.
your not going to notice that much of a difference going from 3:42 to 3:73.
oh and what are your plans for the truck?
