I have a 3, and I think mine is rated at 2500hp or something ridiculous like that. I have mine balanced to 150 mph too.

What thickness is the wall?

mine is a stock 2 peice and its been spun up to 6200ish..

4700rpms in 4th with the converter locked ~157mph
wont ever do it again, but it was fun at the time.

Are you goin for TQ holding factor or top speed factor?

The site says .065 or .083

I am going for "no breakage factor".... basically the fastest it will ever go will be how ever fast i can go in the 1/4... So max 110-120mph....

Mine is 3" .095 DOM steel. Second driveshaft with that material and no problems. If you're set on going with a larger diameter then you won't have any problems going with the thinner wall.

They do offer a 3.0 one. What is the real difference in sizes?

I had a 3.5'' steel shaft made. Love it, Works great, very strong.

I had asked a few members who have Forced induction what to use, i didnt want to spend 600$ on an alum shaft, IIRC it was Sharpshooter, Brent1976 and ( damn memory) but anyway these guys run a 3.5'' steel shaft with no problems, Russ' truck and mine are heavier than yours so i say 3.5'' as i have no experience with the 4''. Brent1976 has a reg. cab turbo and runs mid 11's .

BTW my shaft ( lol) was 273$ with an HD joint installed and my stock yoke, high speed balanced. Been up to 130++ , no vibrations.
