Default GM body lean

I know everyone here is familliar with the GM body lean to the drivers side especially those of us with the lowered trucks. And we know of the coil spring spacers that GM invented to cure the problem (spacer actually raises driver front ride heigth) . I have an idea, instead of adding the spacer to the front drivers side to raise the front a little what if you lowered the passenger leafspring(raising a notch in the shackle) this should compensate for the difference and possibly raise the driver front just a bit to look level. just an idea any opinions on this? Anyone tried this?

hasnt been tried that i know of... i guess if you have a shackle with multiple mounting points its worth a try.... next time a truck comes in here with the lean to be fixed, i will pull the shackle bolts and drop the body a lil and see what effect it has...

i just feel way more comfortable messing with the front suspension geometry then making the drive wheels angle/weight distribution all **** eyed

That is what i thought for a long time but the frame and body dont know any different. All you are really doing is pulling the passenger side rear down the frame is in the same place it has always been. what is the difference between a spacer in the front and a spacer in the back?

We did this on my 04 ecsb. Took a differant shackle with multiple holes and it helped a little but did not totally fix it. I'm sure it could if i went through some more shackles but i don't have a ton of differant drop height shackles at my disposal.
For the record it should have been an inch differant on the shackle from the driver side to pass side and helped the lean by right at a half inch.

When we measured everything it had lifted the front a little bit as well as lowered the pass. side rear a little. Basically moved things about a 1/4 inch or maybe a tad more in each area.
Overall affecting the differance by close to a half inch which helped but i still notice it all the time and would like to fix it but don't want to raise my front any to do so lol.
I did leave it like this and has been like that for about a year i'd say.
Had no affect on the ride quality really.
