GM IFS to straight axle swap?
I was wondering if any of you all have done a straight axle swap on a IFS gm.
I have 2500 burban and interested in doing leveling kits with new gears and lockers, But my current front end doesent seem to be the best in the world..
So what axles would be a good canadate for a swap, and could a custom 14 bolt be made with out braking the bank....
I dont want to go with a huge lift. 33's maybe 35's then 4:56 or 4:88 gears depending on tires size. I still want to the equivalant of a stock 4:10 gear.
Anyway any suggestions.

Off Road unlimited has the kit and will tell you which axle is best to use. I think the best front end is the 78-79 ford dana 60, it has a much better turning radius than the later ford dana 60s and is better than the dodge dana 60 versions.
