thats a good price, as long as its not ridiculously high mileage. Thats about as much as a core charge if you were to buy a new one.

That's a good price for a core. Most won't give you warranty at all for that low of a price. Get a rebuild kit and fix it up new. 4L80-E is as easy to rebuild as a TH400.
Make sure it's a late-model transmission. There were many changes in 1999 and again in 2001. Anything 2001 and up would be preferred but '97 and up will work.

I Love my converter, best out there IMO. I've had a ART CARR (rebuilt once) and it would stall o.k but the lock up clutches were way too small to hold my heavy *** truck, and towing was out of the question. After I upgraded to the converter I have now, Lock-up was nolonger an issue. It was more "streetable" I got a little better gas mileage, and went from a 1.9 (art carr) to a 1.6 60'. SO, what converter? STOCK!

It came from ProTorque in New York. The converter I had in the 4L60-E came from them too.
